Midday Offering – September 8, 2024

Good actions lead to positive outcomes, bringing joy,
Harmful actions result in negative consequences, causing suffering.
No matter the outcome, joy or sorrow, everything arises naturally from the law of karma and reincarnation.
If one focuses entirely on reciting "Namo Amituofo" day and night, keeping all other thoughts away,
it becomes a powerful purification method.
Though the act of reciting involves thought, it is a pure and mindful thought.
"When pure mindfulness flows uninterrupted, the mind naturally opens and attains wisdom."
The Buddha's name is the purest of all purity and the finest of all goodness—ultimate purity and goodness.
With the blessing and power of Amituofo (Amitabha Buddha),
one gains the strength to purify the body, mind, and spirit,
and the ability to transform karma.
Continuous recitation of the Buddha's name, day and night, is a profound method for
'cultivating virtuous roots and attaining the fruit of enlightenment'.
Understanding and wisely applying this practice becomes a direct path to realising one's true nature through the Pure Land practice.
Wholeheartedly reciting the name of "Namo Amituofo" fosters unwavering mindfulness.
This practice cultivates self-discipline, deep concentration and wisdom—
The three essential qualities for attaining rebirth in the Western Pure Land.
Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a place dedicated to practising Pure Land Buddhism.
