In all schools of Buddhism, we understand the workings of karma—the Law of Cause and Effect.
Every action we take, every word we speak, and every thought we hold plants a seed for future consequences. Positive thoughts and actions lead to positive outcomes while negative thoughts and actions lead to negative outcomes.
These seeds may lie dormant for some time, waiting for the right conditions to ripen.
But they remain within us, etched into our consciousness, and cannot be erased.

And that goes back to the essence of the teachings of karma and rebirth in Pure Land Buddhist teaching:
Do all that is good. Avoid all that is bad and selfish.
Practice compassionate and selflessness.
Return to the Pure Land. And end the cycle of endless birth and rebirth.
In the next section, we will explore how the law of cause and effect reveals itself across the six realms of existence.
