How often do we find that the Truth has been twisted, no longer reflecting the pure reality of the universe? When this happens, the hearts of people become obscured. They can no longer perceive the true sun, and they find themselves living in a state of artificial darkness. How often does the ideal of purity become a distant dream, difficult to realise, leaving the hearts of people stained and clouded? They cannot see the light, and they drift through their days in a grey, hazy fog. How often do the Buddha’s teachings lose their original essence, no longer providing the ultimate path? When this occurs, people lose the original appearance of their hearts, unable to see their true self, and they float through life without a place to rest.
The Beacon in the Darkness
It is precisely at this moment of profound need that has appeared, accompanied by Practitioner Su and the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. This is the Truth, this is purity, and this is the Buddha’s teachings in their ultimate, unadulterated form. It is the bright lamp that everyone so desperately needs, shining its light upon the suffering beings of this world. This lamp understands the suffering of all beings. It knows how to emit the clearest and brightest light to guide the lost children back to the direction of their true home. It understands how to help everyone wash away and eliminate the layers upon layers of filth and obstacles that have accumulated within their bodies and minds. It is the essential life mentor that every person needs in this lifetime.
The Healing of Lay Practitioner Hu
Lay Practitioner Hu is incredibly fortunate to have encountered such a mentor in this life. Although there was a brief separation between the spirit and the physical body, I, Avalokitesvara, had the karmic affinity to enter and protect . I poured in the energy of pure, bright light, which benefited the countless spirits and cells residing within. These spirits are one with Lay Practitioner Hu; as they receive this pure light, the body of Lay Practitioner Hu also becomes purified and illuminated. Under these circumstances, it becomes much easier to encourage these spirits to let go and seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land. It is also easier to request that these spirits cooperate by not creating obstacles or interference when the practitioner is in contact with Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
Overcoming the Internal Chill
Within the body of Lay Practitioner Hu, there is another condition: a pervasive cold energy that flows throughout the entire body. This coldness exists because the heart cannot see hope and has not received the input of positive energy. The current improvement is possible because the Buddha-light has brought warmth to the body. However, in the future, when spirits enter the body, there must be a strong, positive force to elevate the energy within. This is one of the necessary conditions for the work of saving beings. If one cannot even save oneself, if one is sinking into the depths of suffering, how can one possibly have the capacity to save others?
The Path to Spiritual Renewal
The spirit of Lay Practitioner Hu must awaken and rouse itself. One must learn from the boldness of Practitioner Su to break through this stalemate and attain a new life. At present, I, Avalokitesvara, will look for the right opportunity to propose a meeting with Lay Practitioner Xu. Whether or not this comes to fruition depends entirely on the karmic affinity and the of the beings involved. Namo Amituofo.
