The Boundless Ocean of Beings

The number of beings throughout the Dharma Realm is beyond all calculation. They fill the vastness of space and the entirety of the three-thousand great thousand worlds. Whether in the air we breathe, the dust beneath our feet, or the smallest of gaps in existence, beings are present everywhere. Just as there are countless white clouds drifting through the vast expanse of the sky, so too are there countless beings wandering through the cycle of rebirth.

These beings are trapped in the six realms of existence, drifting from this world to others in an endless cycle of birth and death. They have experienced countless lifetimes of suffering, yet they remain lost in the darkness of ignorance. It is only through the grace of the Buddha that they may find a way out.

The Infinite Compassion of the Buddha

The Buddha-heart is truly infinite. It is always ready to save beings at any moment. The Buddha manifests the Four Immeasurables: Loving-kindness, Compassion, Joy, and Equanimity. Through these, the Buddha-light shines, and the work of saving beings is filled with the joy of the Dharma. We must realise that the Buddha’s compassion is not a distant concept but a living, breathing reality that seeks to rescue every suffering soul.

A Sanctuary for Rebirth

The Dharma Realm is filled with countless demons, including ancient demons and old demons, yet even they are now being subdued and guided toward the Dharma-Nature Land.

By entering the Dharma-Nature Land, the Buddha-light shines upon them, and their demon nature is transformed into Buddha-nature. This is the equality of the Buddha’s teachings. If these beings can make a sincere vow to chant Namo Amituofo and seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land, their wish can be fulfilled. This is the ultimate expression of the Buddha’s compassionate grace.

The Path of the Practitioner

The concepts of the countless and the infinite are both contained within your own true self. When your true self is at ease, you can roam freely throughout the Dharma Realm. You can come and go from the Western Pure Land with complete freedom. The ability to lead others into the Western Pure Land is a profound skill, one that is rarely heard of in this world, yet it is the hallmark of the work done by Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

Practitioner Su takes on the suffering of many to save countless others. In this, we see that all Buddhas walk the same path. As members of the fourfold assembly, you should emulate this spirit, dedicate yourselves to the practice, and strive to save beings. Namo Amituofo.
