Rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss — Shi Churen (Husband of Gong Wenjuan)

Namo Amituofo

Everything before my eyes, when I first entered the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, truly took me by surprise; it felt so unreal. I had never imagined that the dignity and beauty of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss would be so much better than what I had once imagined in the Western Land of Dharma Nature.

This place made me feel like a different person all of a sudden. Although I had already undergone much purification in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I would still have thoughts and feelings at that time.

However, after arriving in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, I felt as if I had truly let go of everything. I felt very relaxed, as if I had returned to my original, best self, far purer than the simple heart I had in my youth. Every being of the Western Land here appears the same way.

Before the dignified, towering, and majestic Namo Amituofo, every one of us beings of the Western Land is filled with Dharma joy as we perform prostrations before the Buddha. All of this is so inconceivable, especially since I am someone who has been to the hells; I cherish everything before me even more, and my heart is filled with gratitude.

I am truly filled with gratitude towards Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su, and my wife who performed the Chao Du for me; I am so grateful. Throughout my life, although my lifespan was relatively long, the path of birth, aging, sickness, and death is truly difficult to walk. Especially during these years of illness, I suffered, and those around me suffered too; it was truly hard for them. My wife stayed by my side, and now she has even registered for a Chao Du for me. My heart is filled with immense gratitude, and I hope that one day, when she leaves the human world, she will also register for a Chao Du for herself.

Because relying on our own ability to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is not an easy task. The karma that everyone accumulates throughout their many lives is very heavy, as are their afflictions and habits.

When I look at the people in this world, even the best among them cannot compare to any being of the Western Land in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, nor can they compare to the purity and beauty of their hearts.

The human world is indeed like this, but there is one exception, and that is Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. Because Practitioner Su has become a Buddha, Practitioner Su’s heart is so clean and transparent. The light radiating from Practitioner Su is as bright as that of Namo Amituofo, and can accompany Namo Amituofo to save immeasurable and boundless beings. Watching this here, my heart is filled with Dharma joy. I know I have come to the right place; I have found my true destination.

Such a wonderful thing must be shared with everyone. I hope that everyone can have the same wonderful opportunity as I did, to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss sooner, so that they can be free from the many constraints and sufferings of the human world sooner.

Everything in the human world seems very real, but in fact, after experiencing the hells, then passing through the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and now arriving in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, whenever I look back at everything in the human world, it all feels so illusory and not real at all.

Everyone lives for this physical body, as if this body were real. When I lost this body and looked back at my former body from the perspective of a spirit, I felt that it had nothing to do with me at all. That feeling was painful, yet I could not do anything about it.

The suffering of the hells is even more unbearable. I never thought I would fall into the hells, nor did I think that a slight deviation in the human world could make people pay such a heavy price. Therefore, one's thoughts are truly so important. A little selfishness, a little emotion, dissatisfaction, and so on, when accumulated, are all reasons for one to fall into the hells. Therefore, after learning Buddhist education, my heart is more peaceful, and I know that what I need most right now is true Buddhist education, to allow myself to undergo purification, and then more purification.

Finally, I sincerely wish my wife and family well.

Everyone has the opportunity to learn the Buddha’s teachings in the human world, so you must grasp it well. Do not walk the same path as I did—experiencing birth, aging, sickness, and death, and then falling into the hells; that is truly too painful. Everyone must be more proactive. Only by encountering the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and having Namo Amituofo in this place can one know that the Buddha has truly come to the world to save people. I did not know how to cherish this before, nor did I know what true Buddhist education was. Now I have had an "Aha!" moment, and my heart feels very grounded and at peace. Please, everyone, rest assured.

After my spirit was elevated, I lived a completely different life than when I had a body; the feelings and thoughts in my heart are now so vastly different. Now I truly believe in the Buddha, and I truly want to follow the Buddha in a down-to-earth manner, without having my own feelings and thoughts anymore.
