Lay Practitioner Mother Dog "Wang Wang":
. Today, the four of us, mother and children, have finally arrived at the of Ultimate Bliss; we no longer need to live in fear.
Amitabha Buddha and Practitioner Su are so compassionate, allowing us to regain our human bodies, no longer appearing as we did when we were dogs. We were once four dogs—a mother dog and three puppies. In the Western Land of Nature, we possessed four dignified, youthful human forms. Now, having arrived at the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, our appearances are even more extraordinary, looking almost exactly like the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
How did we arrive at the Western Land of Dharma Nature and then the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss? This has been a painful yet deeply joyful experience.
Everyone calls me "Wang Wang." I am the mother dog, and I have three puppies. Before, only a few people knew my name was Wang Wang, but after I died, it seems many people knew my name. This is because when we were in the world, we experienced a very violent event. We, the four of us, trusted humans, but we never expected to be beaten and scalded to death by a few young children using extremely cruel methods. They even filmed the process of harming us and uploaded it to the internet, which is how many people learned of our death.
This could be considered a blessing in disguise. Because of that violent event, many people knew about the circumstances under which I, the mother dog Wang Wang, and my children were killed. Consequently, we received help from kind-hearted people. These kind-hearted individuals registered us for a Dharma assembly at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. Under the leadership of Namo Amituofo and the guidance of Practitioner Su, we were saved.
Before being saved through Chao Du, we were still suffering in a space where we endured the pain of being burned and abused, our hearts filled with fear. At that time, I kept worrying about what would happen to my children. This is a mother's instinct; although I was suffering greatly, I still hoped that my children could leave the sea of suffering as soon as possible.
Fortunately, now my children and I have all been led by Practitioner Su. At that time, a beam of Buddha-light shone into the space where we were suffering. We immediately felt warmth throughout our bodies, our minds and bodies became relaxed, and in an instant, we arrived at the Western Land of Dharma Nature. After several weeks of purification in the Buddha-land, we also realised that we were no longer dogs, but were manifesting in human form as spirits.
We are very grateful for the of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, who allowed us not only to come to the Buddha-land and cease suffering but also to leave behind our dog bodies. We are also very grateful to Lay Practitioner Chen Ruo-Lin, who registered us for the Chao Du Dharma assembly. She is very compassionate and submitted our names to Practitioner Su, allowing us to escape that painful space through the Chao Du Dharma assembly.
We also once harboured of resentment and were constantly pleading in our hearts, hoping for a chance to redress our grievances. But now, having heard the teachings of the true Buddha’s teachings, the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, we know that all of this is within the laws of and cause and effect.
In the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, we can see our own lives throughout our many lives. We know that we suffered such a tragic retribution because we had caused the same harm to others in our past lives. We feel very ashamed and heartbroken about this, and we hope that we can attain Buddhahood in the future and return to help those whom we once harmed.
Our opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss this time is also because, in our past lives, my children and I were fellow practitioners, and we were all very diligent in our practice within the Buddha’s gate. It was only because of a moment of delusion that we fell into the bodies of dogs. After enduring these sufferings and paying off a portion of our debts, we finally had the opportunity to reconnect with the Buddha. We are very grateful for all these magnificent Causal Conditions. We are grateful for the compassion of Amitabha Buddha and Practitioner Su, who led us equally without any discrimination.
Now, we have begun a brand-new spiritual life in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and we deeply understand that the spirit is unborn and undying. The cause and effect (Karma) of good and evil that one creates will all return to oneself.
We hope our story can bring a glimmer of comfort to the many people who knew Wang Wang and her children, letting them know our causes and consequences, and that we have been safely saved. We hope even more to take this opportunity to tell everyone: you must learn the Buddha’s teachings, know Namo Amituofo, the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Entrust yourself to the Buddha and let go of everything from the past. Everything in the past is illusory; it is merely the entanglement of Causal Conditions and karma.
Only by truly learning the Buddha’s teachings and following the Buddha’s footsteps can everyone have the opportunity to attain liberation and no longer suffer the pain of the six realms of rebirth.
Gratitude to the compassion of Namo Amituofo, and gratitude to the compassion of Practitioner Su.
