Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on May 23, 2025.
Lay Practitioner Zhao Bing speaks:
". I am Zhao Bing. Right now, there is nothing but brilliant light before my eyes; at long last, everything from the past has faded away. In my current state, I am constantly reminded to chant Buddha's name, because every single time I utter the name, a surge of energy is generated. Each wave of this energy makes me feel more and more radiant. This sensation of light brings me such immense , and for the first time, I find myself smiling. My spirit has been waiting for this feeling for such a long time, and now that I have finally attained it, I cherish it deeply. I am so grateful to Namo Amituofo, and I am deeply thankful to Practitioner Su for allowing me to change and for granting me this rebirth."
"When my spirit was first guided to the Buddha-land, I was still carrying a very deep, heavy resentment. This resentment held me in a tight, suffocating grip; I simply could not find it in my heart to forgive those who had harmed me. In truth, I had been living in a state of profound confusion and lack of clarity for so long. This, coupled with the tangled knots of my own bitterness, made my existence incredibly arduous. I was trapped, unable to find a way out, and I clung to that pain so tightly. A powerful, dark force had shaped me into that state, causing me such unbearable suffering. It was not until the light—the light that came to help me—appeared that all of these chains were finally broken."
"When the knots first began to loosen, my heart was still unable to find complete stability. I could not understand why I had to endure such immense suffering. It was only after I began listening to the at the Buddha-land that I saw my own past. I realised that I had been a person with a terrible temper, constantly hurting others and looking for trouble wherever I went. Only then could I finally understand why I had encountered such experiences in my life. The karmic debt between myself and Wang Changqing was also a result of my own heartless actions toward him in the past. In this life, I have finally repaid that debt to him."
"I believe that even though he harmed me, he must have felt terrible in his own heart as well. Now, because of the Causal Conditions he provided, he has been able to help me, leading me toward this vast, radiant light. Instead of holding onto the past, I want to thank him, and I also want to thank those who helped perform the Chao Du for me.
I know that my departure has caused pain for my family. Now that I am liberated and no longer bound to this world, I hope to use my deepest to ensure that my family, my friends, and all those I have known—and even those I have not—can be free from suffering.
I am truly fortunate, and I will continue to chant Buddha's name in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss to dedicate the merit to all of you.
I am grateful for the great of the Buddha, and I am grateful to Practitioner Su.
With palms joined, Zhao Bing."
