Understanding Namo Amituofo and the Forty-eight Great Vows

If you ask where the human body will go after this life, you must make real, concrete plans for your future now. This human life is a rare and precious opportunity that must not be squandered. You must consider the destination of your spirit with the utmost seriousness, for the path you choose today determines the reality you will inhabit tomorrow.
Observe the spirits in the dark realms. They drift in loneliness and bitterness, lost in the vast expanse of the cycle of rebirth. Without a physical body, they still feel the profound pain of their past actions and attachments. Do you, who possess a human body now, truly understand the gravity of their plight? It is a state of existence defined by endless wandering, profound isolation, and the lingering pain of past that one cannot escape even without a physical form.
When the limits of suffering appear, the mind often finds it difficult to contemplate the Truth. Even if your mind understands the nature of your environment, it often fails to put that understanding into practice. This is the great challenge for every practitioner. Only while you possess this human body can you truly awaken. Do not let yourself be disturbed by worldly distractions again, and do not forget your original, pure nature. You must cherish this moment, for it is the only time you have to turn from confusion to awakening.
You will face layer upon layer of trials and tests, and hurdle after hurdle of humiliation. I ask you: does your heart truly understand? If your heart is free from attachment to external objects, you will be free from the cycle of rebirth. The Great arises from the heart. The heart arises from the emptiness of the environment. When the heart no longer clings to existence, your actions will naturally be in accordance with the Truth. Today, as we hold this Dharma assembly, I wish for you to follow the light of wisdom. You must rectify your true nature and find the place of clarity and purity. .
