Before one has successfully transformed their , they remain at all times within the cycle of karmic retribution. Everything you encounter in your daily life—the people you see, the events that unfold, and the objects you touch—is a manifestation of this cycle, occurring within the currents of reincarnation. Because we are still bound by our past actions, we often fail to see the invisible threads of cause and effect that weave through our reality.
The laws of karma are inextricably linked to our mental activity. The moment a thought arises, a cause is created; this thought acts as a seed, and in time, the corresponding result will inevitably manifest. Conversely, every experience you face now is the result of a cause planted in the past. These mental movements are so subtle and move with such speed that by the time you become aware of them, countless thoughts have already passed, and countless causes and results have already manifested. Thus, one must be extremely cautious with every single thought.
To change your trajectory, you must consciously cultivate a positive mental state. Strive to think only of what is good, look upon the world with a positive perspective, and imagine only that which is wholesome. When you do this, both the causes you create and the results you experience will exist within the realm of Goodness. This practice purifies your body, mind, and spirit, allowing to flourish within you. As the teachings state, this is how you "give rise to all roots of goodness and achieve the fruit of Bodhi." Only when you enter the state of no-thought and no-mind can you truly realise your original nature and reach the state of .
To resolve the debts of the past, you must be sincere in your practice. Repenting for your past karma with a truly honest and humble heart is essential. By changing your ways and engaging in diligent practice, you will find that your are finally willing to let go of their grievances. Through the act of inviting spirits to hear the and performing , you can help them leave suffering behind and find happiness. This is the path that leads one to be reborn in the of Ultimate Bliss.
