True compassion requires a firm heart and a clear, unwavering vow. You must be active, diligent, and patient in your practice. Do not be discouraged by the various tests and challenges you encounter on this path. Instead, use these moments to return to your true self and ensure that your vow is put into action. By remaining steadfast, you ensure that your practice remains consistent and effective.
To embody this, one must be active in seeking opportunities to serve, diligent in maintaining one's practice without ceasing, and patient in enduring the hardships of the world with a calm and serene spirit. This is the foundation upon which the path to the of Ultimate Bliss is built.
True compassion is free from fear, free from attachment to gain or loss, and free from selfishness. It involves truly repenting for past mistakes and actively changing your ways. Even if you must take on the suffering of others, you do not retreat from your commitment. As it is said, even if your body is amidst all kinds of suffering, your vow will never retreat.
True compassion involves inviting spirits to leave suffering behind and resolving past grievances. Your faith and vows to save the world and help beings achieve rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss must be steadfast. You must walk this path with a heart that never turns back, remaining forever committed to the work of salvation. .
