On the seventeenth of April, 2022, during the second session of the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offered these profound words of guidance to all practitioners.

The Journey Beyond the Physical

Imagine a spirit soaring high above the tallest mountains and the deepest waters, crossing through the brilliant sun and the vast, clear sky. This journey continues, heading straight toward the heavenly realms and the distant stars. One might ask, who possesses such extraordinary power to traverse the cosmos with such ease? It is the awakened being, Practitioner Su, whose Dharma Body transcends all physical limitations. He possesses countless manifestations, appearing wherever he is needed to guide and protect.

The Compassionate Work of Practitioner Su

His mission is to save infinite and boundless beings. He looks upon the world and sees the suffering of all, and he works tirelessly to help them leave suffering behind. By working in perfect harmony with Namo Amituofo to save the world, he acts as a true saviour for all beings who are lost in the darkness of confusion. His compassion is the bridge that connects the suffering of the mundane world to the peace of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Infinite Power of the Holy Name

Namo Amituofo. The six-character name is the very essence of his being. Everywhere there is Buddha, and in every thought, there is Buddha. When you chant this holy name, the Buddha-light shines everywhere, penetrating every corner of your existence to remove all defilements and impurities. This great name and the Dharma Body of the Buddha purify the very void of the universe. This is the supreme, infinite Dharma Body. It is my sincere wish that all beings can hear this truth and begin to chant the Buddha's name with a sincere heart.

Returning to the Western Pure Land

Through the Fragrant Light of the Buddha, Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su appear to guide us home. We can transcend the cycle of rebirth in the six realms of existence and find true liberation. In the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, both light and life are infinite, beyond the constraints of time and space. This is the ultimate destination for every practitioner; this is what it means to be a true resident of the Western Pure Land.
