The World of the Buddha

The Realm of Infinite Purity

There exists a world of the Buddha, a realm that is defined by its supreme dignity, absolute purity, and profound equality. It is a world filled with true awareness and perfect, right awakening. In this sacred place, there is not a single trace of suffering or hardship. It is a realm where every aspiration of the heart can be fulfilled, and where the conditions are perfect for every being to attain the Buddha's path. Within this environment, the spirit can be continuously elevated and refined, rising higher and higher until one finally realises one's true nature and attains Buddhahood.

Dissolving the Self

You may wonder, within this world of the Buddha, how can one possibly transcend the "self," personal ego, and selfishness? The answer lies in the nature of the environment itself. Because this world is so magnificent and perfect, there is not even the slightest occurrence of anything that is unsatisfactory. In such a state of total harmony, the "self," personal ego, and selfishness have no opportunity to manifest. They simply have no soil in which to take root. This is the absolute truth of that realm. I invite you to look forward to this destination with joy and confidence.

The Call to the Western Pure Land

This magnificent realm is known as the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. To reach it, one must focus the mind and recite the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" with single-minded devotion. By doing so, a lotus will bloom for you in the Western Land. You must make a sincere vow to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Whether it is at the moment of passing, or through the practice of ten recitations, if you can maintain a heart of total sincerity, you will be led by Amitabha Buddha to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Ultimate Achievement

If you are currently in a human body, you have the precious opportunity to practise with fierce diligence. By aligning your heart, your vows, and your actions with the Forty-eight Great Vows of Amitabha Buddha, you can embody the Buddha-heart, the Buddha-vow, and the Buddha-actions. Through this, you will eventually realise your true nature and attain Buddhahood. When you reach the point where you can foresee the time of your departure and depart with complete freedom and ease, you will have fulfilled the purpose of this life. Namo Amituofo.
