In the Midst of the Suffering of the Saha World, Only Fragrant Light is a Ray of Hope
At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, we must pause to reflect upon the state of our hearts. How is the heart of the fourfold assembly regarding the path to Buddhahood? This is a question that every practitioner must ask themselves with absolute sincerity. Your progress on this sacred path is not merely a matter of external rituals, but a reflection of the depth of your inner conviction.
The outcome of your spiritual journey is determined by the strength of your faith. Consider these three distinct paths:
It is often said that faith is the source of the path and the mother of all merit. Every virtue, every spiritual achievement, and every step forward on the path to enlightenment originates from this single, vital foundation. This is why it is of paramount importance to cultivate a deep, unshakable faith—not only in the Buddha but also in yourself.
Namo Amituofo is the Great Awakened One, who has fully awakened himself and is dedicated to awakening all other beings. He is entirely free from even the slightest trace of impurity or defilement. You, too, are a being who possesses the same original nature and Buddha-nature. Within the radiant light of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and under the compassionate guidance of the Buddha, the teachers, and Practitioner Su, you must come to understand this truth.
You should hold a deep, unquestioning belief that every being—including yourself—possesses this inherent Buddha-nature. With this realisation, you must engage in diligent practice with fierce determination. Let your primary goal be to achieve liberation from the cycle of reincarnation, to chant Namo Amituofo, to attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and to realise one's true nature and attain Buddhahood.
Even when you encounter trials and tribulations along the way, you must remain steadfast. You have the strength to face these challenges and break through them. Keep your faith in Namo Amituofo alive and burning bright, and ensure that your confidence in your own ability to attain Buddhahood never fades. By doing so, you will surely find your way home.
