Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju:
In our daily lives, every thought and intention is recorded within the . Whether these thoughts and intentions are rooted in Goodness or in malevolence, they generate either positive or negative energy. When one generates positive energy, it fosters a sense of inner peace, stability, and . Conversely, when one generates negative energy, it creates internal restlessness and agitation, which can manifest as anger or a resentful countenance.
The subtle nature of these thoughts often escapes our conscious awareness, yet the moment they arise, they emit vibrations that are transmitted throughout the entire body. This process alerts the beings within us who are sensitive to these vibrations, and it invites attached spirits who resonate with such energy to enter . It also signals the demon crowds, who perceive these mental notes and act to deepen and intensify one’s negative thoughts. Because these processes occur beyond the reach of the physical eye, one may remain unaware of their progression, yet they exert a profound influence on the Body-Mind-Spirit, and it is precisely from this source that the conditions of ageing and illness arise.
The Body-Mind-Spirit can be viewed as a unified whole or as three distinct aspects, all of which are essential for survival in the human world. The accumulation of negative energy within the body accelerates physical ageing and the manifestation of disease. This energy diffuses into the cells, disrupting their natural growth and development, which is the direct mechanism by which the physical organs begin to exhibit abnormalities.
If these irregularities are detected in their early stages, it is still possible to reverse the process. However, if the condition reaches the area between the shoulder blades, the cells have suffered severe damage, and it becomes difficult to restore health. Ultimately, the physical body has its limits; it has a finite lifespan and a predetermined period of utility, unless one can transcend the cycle of cellular ageing and decay.
The moment a thought arises, a cause is planted. Once that thought is projected outward, it becomes karma, and this energy does not simply vanish. If the thought ceases, the karma is temporarily halted, and the transmission of the mental note enters a state of stillness. This energy may remain dormant for a lifetime or even for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. When the right Causal Conditions arise to stir this energy, the transmission of the mental note resumes. When these conditions fully mature, the karma begins to operate, and the time for receiving the retribution has arrived.
Unless one undergoes the fruition of this karma and thereby exhausts the energy, the cycle cannot be resolved. Otherwise, this energy will persist indefinitely, as the ancient wisdom states: "Even after hundreds of thousands of kalpas, the karma one has created does not perish. When the Causal Conditions meet, one must receive the retribution oneself." This transmission of mental notes manifests through the mechanism of karma. It continues until the karma manifests, the energy of the mental note is fully expended, and the retribution is complete. Only then is this particular account of karma finally closed.
