The Supreme Guide of All Beings

The Buddha is the Awakened One. This title signifies one who has attained perfect self-awareness, who awakens others, and whose awareness is complete and all-encompassing. To be a Buddha means that one has not only achieved personal enlightenment but is also dedicated to guiding all sentient beings toward that same state of awakening.

The Buddha serves as the supreme Guide for both humans and heavenly beings. This role is profound, as the Buddha possesses the extraordinary ability to perceive the vastness of the Dharma Realm, the void, and every Buddha-land across the ten directions and the three periods of time. The Buddha understands the past, the present, and the future with absolute clarity. Because of this, the Buddha can observe the spiritual capacity of every being and provide teachings that are perfectly suited to their needs, effectively guiding humans and heavenly beings to transcend the Three Realms—the Realm of Desire, the Realm of Form, and the Formless Realm—thereby achieving liberation from the cycle of rebirth.

The Infinite Wisdom of the Buddha

The Buddha is the Buddha Jewel. This refers to our original teacher, Shakyamuni Buddha, as well as all Buddhas throughout the ten directions and the three periods of time. Within this collective, Namo Amituofo, who embodies the entire Dharma Realm, is the most central figure. As the Great Master Shandao once stated, the reason the Tathagata appeared in this world was solely to proclaim the ocean of Namo Amituofo’s original vows.

From this, we can understand the magnificence of Namo Amituofo and the Pure Land Dharma Gate. It is a path that is difficult to encounter, difficult to hear, and difficult to believe. Namo Amituofo and His Forty-eight Great Vows are praised by all Buddhas throughout the ten directions and the three periods of time. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is the very Buddha-land where all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas proclaim and teach the Dharma.

The Magnificent Path of the Pure Land

Those who can believe in, accept, and uphold the practice of single-mindedly chanting the name of Namo Amituofo are manifesting their deep roots of goodness and blessings. If one’s karmic conditions are also mature, one is considered a person who possesses the complete roots of goodness, blessings, and karmic conditions. Such individuals are granted the rare opportunity to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, the one supreme Buddha-land.

A Sanctuary of True Presence

Today, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is blessed because Namo Amituofo truly abides here. This is a place where the Buddha, the Guide for humans and heavenly beings, is present in the world. The Centre works to save beings across the Earth, the entire Dharma Realm, the Milky Way, the universe, and even those in the demon realms.

If you can receive the teachings of Namo Amituofo, you will be able to attain liberation from the cycle of rebirth in this very lifetime, transcend the Three Realms, break through delusion to attain enlightenment, and see your true self. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This matter is beyond ordinary conception, yet it is the absolute truth. I hope that all who see and hear these words will believe in them, seek the Dharma, and engage in practice. May you save yourself by seeing your true nature, and then follow the Buddha to save all beings and be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
