What defines a Precious Land? It is a sanctuary where one may discover true treasures. These are not merely material objects, but primarily the invisible, invaluable gems of the spirit. The most significant of these is the attainment of an awakened being. When one reaches this state, they naturally possess a wealth of spiritual qualities that define a noble life.
These spiritual treasures include , wisdom, mind-capacity, tolerance, , and the ability to let go. They also encompass the practice of Generosity, Discipline, Patience, Diligence, and Meditation—all of which serve as the foundation for one’s spiritual journey.
Beyond these spiritual qualities, a Precious Land also contains physical treasures. We look to the of Ultimate Bliss as the ultimate example, a realm constructed from the most magnificent substances imaginable—gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, amber, beautiful jade, agate, and pearls. These represent the purity and perfection of that realm.
A true Precious Land is filled with both these physical splendours and the invisible treasures of the spirit. It serves as a sanctuary where all beings can come to seek these riches. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is such a place. Under the guidance of Practitioner Su, it provides the environment necessary for practitioners to cultivate their practice, reach an awakened state, and ensure that their physical bodies and spirits are nurtured. This path allows one to remain free from aging, free from illness, and ensures that the spirit does not die, ultimately leading to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Precious Lands that offer these treasures to beings include the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and the Western Land of Dharma Nature. The supreme leader of these lands is Buddha, whose body encompasses the entire Dharma Realm. Within the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and the Western Land of Dharma Nature, Practitioner Su leads everyone on this path.
There is a unique distinction between these roles: Amitabha Buddha exists in the realm of pure spirit. While those with open eyes can perceive this presence, it remains invisible to the ordinary physical eye. Conversely, Practitioner Su has attained an awakened state and possesses a physical body that people can see. Yet, his spiritual is perfectly pure and good, allowing him to serve as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds.
Today, Namo Amituofo truly abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Therefore, all beings are encouraged to come here to seek the Dharma, request these treasures, and dedicate themselves to learning and practice. Practitioner Su is able to traverse both realms; while his physical body resides here in the human world at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, his spiritual Dharma Body can freely travel to and from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, performing the work of and resolving the conflicts of suffering beings.
The Infinite Life Sutra (The Buddha Speaks the , Infinite Life, Adornment, Purity, Impartiality, and Enlightenment Sutra) is the essential Dharma Jewel for Practitioner Su, the fourfold assembly of disciples, and all beings to study together. You must study it with diligence and sincerity, for if you do so, you will certainly reap the rewards. It is our sincere hope that all beings will enter this Precious Land to seek the Dharma and follow the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. May the fourfold assembly of disciples practise with persistent effort and achieve success, joining Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su in the great work of saving beings and guiding them to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
