The Hope of Hsiang Kuang

On the fifth of February, 2022, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offered these vital instructions to the community at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

The Spiritual Power of the Universal Buddha

Namo Amituofo, as the Universal Buddha, possesses infinite spiritual capacity that permeates the entire Dharma Realm. Through the awakened Dharma Body of Practitioner Su, the sacred work of Chao Du is performed with profound efficacy. This skill of performing Chao Du to deliver sentient beings to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a treasure of the highest order. It is my earnest hope that this lineage of compassion and spiritual skill be preserved and passed down to the fourfold assembly of Hsiang Kuang, especially to the monks and nuns.

A Call to the Fourfold Assembly

However, to receive this transmission, you must be prepared. You must be willing to receive, able to accept, and able to change your ways. You must be fiercely diligent in your practice to rediscover your true self. Daily practice is the fundamental requirement, which must be completed within the day. Serving the public is the fundamental attitude for group cultivation at Hsiang Kuang.

The Foundation of the Three Studies

You must uphold the three studies of Precepts, meditative concentration, and wisdom. Have faith in yourself and faith in the Buddha. Make the Ultimate Vow to save yourself, to save the world, and to deliver sentient beings to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Willingly follow Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su in your journey forward. Let go of all obstacles within the body; do not be limited by the body, and do not be swayed by the body. Be capable of bearing the suffering of sentient beings.

Walking the Path of Truth

Act according to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. These matters are mentioned often, but how many truly put them into practice? The Truth is important, and saving the world and delivering sentient beings is important; you must put them into actual practice! Namo Amituofo.
