The Great Fortune of the Pure Land Path

The Rarity of Encountering the Dharma

How fortunate we are to have been born into this life, to have heard the Buddha’s teachings, to have encountered the Pure Land path, and to have entered the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This is a rare and precious opportunity that we must cherish with our entire being.

By hearing the Buddha’s teachings, we have come to understand the true nature of our existence. We now recognise the reality of the cycle of rebirth and the inevitable sufferings of birth, aging, sickness, and death. We have gained clarity regarding the laws of karma and cause and effect. Because we understand these truths, we are able to recognise the suffering inherent in this world, and we have developed the sincere vow to leave suffering behind and seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Vessel of the Pure Land

Having entered the Pure Land path, we have been provided with everything necessary for our journey to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss:

• The Infinite Life Sutra (The Buddha Speaks the Mahayana, Infinite Life, Adornment, Purity, Impartiality, and Enlightenment Sutra) serves as our vessel, carrying us safely across the ocean of suffering.
• The six-character name, Namo Amituofo, is our constant companion, never leaving our side as we walk the path.
• The Forty-eight Great Vows of Namo Amituofo serve as our navigation, ensuring we remain on the correct course toward enlightenment.

The Sanctuary of Hsiang Kuang

We are truly blessed to have entered the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, where we have the unique opportunity to encounter the presence of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. This environment provides the perfect conditions for our spiritual growth.

Buddha-Recitation Samadhi is the essential skill we must cultivate. Through diligent practice, we can reach the state of an awakened being. When our hearts become one with the Buddha-heart, we achieve the true nature of our own minds. In that moment of profound realisation, the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is not a distant place, but is present right here, within our own hearts.
