As a human being, you must never forget your roots. It is only because of these roots that you have been born into this physical body. Obtaining this human body is not an easy feat; it is the result of your long journey in search of your roots. Without these roots, this physical form would not exist. If you were to lose your connection to these roots, your spirit would be left to drift aimlessly, like a leaf caught in the wind. It is from these roots that every life and every body arises. All phenomena and all living things in this vast universe manifest from these roots. Therefore, you must repay the kindness of your parents and never forget the roots from which you came.

The True Roots of the Pure Land

The roots of the Pure Land lie in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo is the compassionate father of all beings, while the ancestral masters, the venerable masters, and all the superior beings are your true family. At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, you must practise diligently. By learning from the Buddha and chanting Namo Amituofo, you will attain a state of deep peace and wisdom. When you have achieved this, you will be able to travel to and from the Western Land with ease. This freedom is only possible because you have cultivated great cultivation.

A Sanctuary in the Human World

When you have realised your true nature and attained the Dharma Body, you will possess the power to help your family members, your karmic creditors, and all those connected by karmic affinity. You can guide them to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, helping them leave all suffering behind and escape the cycle of rebirth. This is the very foundation of true, great filial piety. Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre serves as a Western Land within the human world, providing a sacred space for this vital work.

Cherishing the Magnificent Affinity

My children, you must cherish this magnificent affinity with all your heart. Such an opportunity is rare and difficult to encounter; it is not an ordinary occurrence. If you were to miss this chance in this lifetime, it is impossible to know when you might encounter it again. You must seize this moment to practise with sincerity and dedication.
