The Path of Daily Diligence

The practice we undertake here at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre may appear, to the casual observer, to be quite ordinary. We follow a daily routine, we chant, and we attend to our duties. However, if you are able to follow this path step by step, maintaining steady progress, you will find that this ordinary life is, in fact, extraordinary. This is because our practice is rooted in the Buddha-land.

Aligning Every Aspect of Life

When we engage in this practice, we must ensure that every facet of our existence is aligned with the Buddha's teachings. This includes our speech, our actions, our thoughts, and our vows. We take the Buddha as our ultimate benchmark. We treat the process of realising our true nature as the core of our journey, and we accept the responsibility of saving the world and guiding all beings to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss as our own personal mission.

Developing Extraordinary Capabilities

Through the process of purification and the constant support of the Buddha's blessings, our original nature begins to manifest. This allows us to develop capabilities that are truly profound. You may find that you are able to communicate with the Buddha, or even interact with sentient beings residing in different spaces. Whether or not you possess the physical sight to see these beings, you will gain the ability to transcend the limitations of space and engage in dialogue with them. This is an extraordinary capability, yet it must be used with great care. It is only considered a right path if this ability is used exclusively for the purpose of saving the world and rescuing suffering beings. It must never be used for any other intent.

The Ultimate Destination

As we navigate this life, we must always look toward the end of our journey. For all students of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss should be the final destination for your spirit. Therefore, you must be diligent in your practice every single day. By ensuring that your chanting of Namo Amituofo is effective and that your meditative concentration is well-developed, you will move steadily toward the achievement of realising your true nature. Regardless of where Practitioner Su may be at any given time, you will possess the inner strength and clarity to chant Namo Amituofo and secure your rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is not only for your own salvation; it is the means by which you can broadly save other beings and those connected to you by karmic affinity. This is the duty of every student of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. By living in this way, you will transform an ordinary life into an extraordinary one, fulfilling your purpose as a practitioner of the True Way.
