The Clarity of the Heavens and the Power of the Buddha-Name

The Infinite Expanse of the Dharma Realm

The sky above us and the worlds that lie beyond it are vast beyond measure. The entire vastness of the Dharma Realm, the infinite expanse of space, and the swirling majesty of the Milky Way all exist far beyond the reach of our physical sky. This infinite horizon contains countless dimensions and spaces, and within these countless spaces, there exist immeasurable and boundless beings, all living out their karmic destinies.

The Supreme Power of the Buddha-Name

When you engage in the practice of chanting Namo Amituofo, you are tapping into a power that transcends all boundaries. This practice, known as the Buddha-Recitation Samadhi, is also referred to as the King of Samadhis. It is a state of deep peace and wisdom. When your meditative concentration in this practice reaches maturity, you have effectively achieved all forms of meditative concentration. The merit and virtue gained from chanting the name of Namo Amituofo are truly inconceivable.

The Buddha-name possesses the unique ability to penetrate through both time and space. It is not bound by the limitations that govern our physical world.

Deliverance Through the Buddha’s Compassion

At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, under the guidance of the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su, the work of spiritual deliverance is carried out with profound compassion. Regardless of the time or the space in which suffering beings may be trapped, they are all able to hear the holy name of Namo Amituofo. This hearing allows their confined spaces to open up, granting them the opportunity to receive the merit and virtue of the Buddha-name and, ultimately, the chance to leave their suffering behind.

If these beings begin to chant Namo Amituofo themselves, they can be guided by the Buddha light to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, or at the very least, find a better existence in the realms of humans and heavenly beings. This is especially true during the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies. In every session, immeasurable and boundless beings receive the grace of Chao Du. This is truly the supreme grace of the Buddha toward all suffering beings.

The Radiant Purity of the Heavens

After the conclusion of the Dharma assembly, the sky itself often reflects the purification that has taken place. From the horizon where the earth meets the sky, one can observe a beautiful gradient of colours: soft orange-gold, delicate violet, and a serene light blue. The atmosphere appears exceptionally pure and bright.

The heavens themselves bear witness to the inconceivable power of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and the transformative nature of the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies. May you cherish this opportunity to practise and find your way home to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
