Bearing the Suffering of All Beings at All Times, Thus Inviting the Presence of Amitabha Buddha
This interview was recorded on September 11, 2018, featuring Mr. Jack Ma. Seeking deliverance from the heavy burden of his , he turned to the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. Through the compassionate guidance of Practitioner Su, he began the process of resolving his past transgressions and seeking rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Mr. Jack Ma speaks:
". I am Jack Ma, just an ordinary man. Like any worldly person, I have been inseparable from greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, and doubt, as well as the : wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep. Today, for the sake of resolving the conflicts between me and my karmic creditors—so that they would no longer obstruct me from connecting with the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre while I am awake—Practitioner Su actually knelt before my sentient beings and invited them to the at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. When I learned of this, my heart ached with such profound sorrow that tears streamed down my face. How could I possibly be worthy of such an act from Practitioner Su? Practitioner Su truly possesses a heart of great . For the sake of sentient beings, Practitioner Su has cast aside all personal concerns of life, death, honour, and disgrace. I am deeply ashamed. Why did I create such immense sins in the past? Why was I never able to separate myself from killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, and intoxication? Why did I fail to change my personal habits, allowing these sentient beings to cling to me so tightly? Why did I lack the boldness to break through the various obstacles of my daily life, remaining stagnant for so long, and thus forcing Practitioner Su to go to such lengths for me?"
"In the past, my mind-capacity was so narrow. My vision was limited only to my company, my family, my career, and my profits. My time was frozen in that moment. I failed to look outward to see the vast sea of humanity—the countless people and spirits drifting aimlessly, without support, all in desperate need of salvation. Even an ant, a small mouse, a grain of dust, or a speck of sand—these are all manifestations of human souls. I was so deluded. I spent my life researching platforms for exchanging goods and developing new products for trade, yet none of that holds even a fraction of the meaning found in delivering sentient beings to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss."
"After my spirit returned to my body this morning, I felt something had changed. Why do I suddenly feel so quiet? I have no desire to speak a single word; I only want to listen silently to the Buddha-name. The six-character name of the Buddha, chanted during the morning deliverance, still echoes in my ears. Every detail of that morning deliverance seems to have left something stuck in my head—an unresolved knot that must be untied before I can see clearly. Yet, the more I try to look, the tighter it seems to pull.
I have become much quieter and more stable. Could this be the real Jack Ma? Was the previous version of me—the one constantly expanding his business—merely a 'controlled' Jack Ma? I am becoming confused. Which one is the real me? Practitioner Su, is it possible that when one is under control, one cannot make one's own decisions? That the karmic creditors take the lead, causing one to act in ways completely contrary to one's true nature? The current Jack Ma does not wish to pursue business; I want to build temples. Please, grant me the energy to shatter that knot in my head. Once it is broken, the mystery will be solved. Inside, I know it will be filled with densely packed words: Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre... I must put in more effort.
I sincerely beg for the understanding and assistance of my karmic creditors. If there is even the slightest bit of merit or in anything I do, I dedicate it all to you. As long as it allows me to maintain contact with Practitioner Su, I am willing to offer the merit of fifty or even one hundred . This vow of mine will never change. I pray for the Buddha's blessings. Namo Amituofo."
