The Boundless Nature of the Heart and the Path to Liberation

On the twenty-seventh of September, 2024, during the third session of the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, Teacher-Practitioner Xia Lianju offered these profound teachings to all beings.

The Boundless Expanse of the True Heart

The capacity of your heart and mind is vast and boundless. It is a space that encompasses the entire cosmos, extending its reach to every corner of the Dharma Realm. Within this infinite expanse, we find the potential for true awakening. However, the number of suffering beings is equally immeasurable. With a heart of profound compassion, we must strive to save these beings, helping them to leave their suffering behind and find true happiness.

Namo Amituofo, whose body encompasses the entire Dharma Realm, has been working for immeasurable aeons to save beings. The number of beings saved is beyond calculation, spreading throughout the vastness of the Dharma Realm. Today, Namo Amituofo is truly present at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. All beings who have a karmic connection with Namo Amituofo should hasten to come forward and seek the Buddha’s salvation.

The Compassionate Call of Namo Amituofo

This opportunity is one that is difficult to encounter in millions of years; you must not let this precious moment slip away. By chanting Namo Amituofo in every thought, you are walking the path of the Buddha. This life is your final existence in the cycle of rebirth. Ultimately, you must return home to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Practitioner Su of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre uses the power of the Dharma Body to perform Chao Du, saving countless suffering beings. This work of salvation is boundless. Even the demon crowds are included in this compassionate embrace. They are guided into the Western Dharma-Nature Land, where they listen to the sutras and hear the Dharma without interruption, eventually entering the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Potential of the Fourfold Assembly

The heart-capacity of the fourfold assembly (monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen) is inherently vast and boundless. It is filled with compassion, wisdom, and the power of inclusion. Yet, this natural state is often obscured. It is trapped by the cycle of rebirth and the weight of past karma, making it difficult for your true nature to manifest. You must practise diligently to see your true nature, allowing yourself to be transformed and to return to your original, pristine state.

The Journey of the Cloud-Beings

The beings dwelling within the clouds are as numerous as the grains of sand in the Ganges. Sometimes they drift like white, fluffy clouds in the sky, and at other times, they are like dark, heavy storm clouds covering the heavens. Whether white or dark, these clouds represent beings who yearn for freedom, drifting aimlessly with the wind. One might ask, where is the true home for these wandering spirits?

When they arrive at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, they find Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su waiting for them. Here, they can cast off their heavy cloud-garments and return to their original state. With great joy, they enter the Western Dharma-Nature Land, finding true liberation within the Buddha-land.
