The Buddha manifests in the human world specifically to rescue all suffering beings. Practising in the human realm is for the purpose of realising one's true nature, and it is also to carry on the sacred duty of saving others. Countless spirits come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre seeking Chao Du, for this temple is a true sanctuary for all who are lost.

The Sacred Sanctuary of Hsiang Kuang

During the Thrice Yearning Ceremony held at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Namo Amituofo truly abides here. He leads the ceremony and welcomes all beings who arrive at the temple. The Buddha’s form is vast and magnificent, radiating a golden light that is truly awe-inspiring. When the spirits see this, they cannot help but kneel to express their gratitude for the Buddha’s grace, moved to tears by the depth of His compassion.

The Compassionate Light of Namo Amituofo

Because Namo Amituofo is infinitely dignified, He inspires in all beings a heart of admiration, reverence, and respect. His Buddha-light shines everywhere, washing away the thick layers of dust and the heavy karmic sins that have burdened beings for lifetimes. In His presence, they feel a sense of peace and warmth that they have never experienced before. Through the Buddha’s compassionate grace, suffering souls are finally able to find liberation, leaving suffering behind to find true happiness.

The Buddha’s golden arm reaches down, extended to lead all those who come before Him to seek the Dharma. He is here for all who wish to chant Namo Amituofo and vow to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Path of Faith and Practice

When you enter this temple, if you can bring with you a heart that is firm in its faith and a sincere desire to seek the Dharma, you will receive the Buddha’s blessings. This will help you to:

At the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, we welcome all beings. If you can arouse the Bodhi mind and single-mindedly recite Namo Amituofo without any distractions, you will be following the path of the sages. You must accept and uphold the teachings found in the Infinite Life Sutra (The Buddha Speaks the Mahayana, Infinite Life, Adornment, Purity, Impartiality, and Enlightenment Sutra). If you can listen to the guidance of the Buddha, the teachers, and Practitioner Su, and work to change your personality traits, you will be able to accept the spiritual healing of the Body-Mind-Spirit. By doing so, you will surely fulfil your wish to leave suffering behind, find happiness, realise your true nature, and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
