Everything we encounter in this life is governed by the laws of and cause and effect. We are often caught in the currents of impermanence, where our past actions manifest as present circumstances. However, do not despair, for there is a way to transform karma. It is through the power of your vow that you can alter the trajectory of your life and transcend the cycle of rebirth.
True practice is the act of cultivating the mind. You must learn to settle your heart. When your mind is truly settled, you will naturally find peace. When peace resides within you, your afflictions will vanish, and the difficulties that once bound you will be resolved. A settled mind is a mind that is calm, like a still lake without ripples.
When you hold the within your heart, your actions will naturally remain upright. By upholding these Precepts, meditative concentration will arise, and from that concentration, true wisdom will blossom. This is the path to liberation.
When you succeed in settling your mind, many complications will naturally dissolve. You will find that you no longer need to engage in endless debates or seek external validation for your actions. Even when you encounter sudden or unexpected events, you will remain composed. You will not be shaken by crisis, and you will always be able to make the most appropriate and compassionate choices.
