Lay Practitioner Zou Yumin:
Today, my spirit has truly arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Compared to the Western Land of Nature, this place is also a Buddha-land, even more beautiful, peaceful, and serene.
I have only been in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss for a few hours, and I have already received an interview invitation from the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia; this is truly special. I am grateful to and Practitioner Su for their great , and I am also grateful to my good grandson for registering me for . Without the Buddha or Bodhisattvas, and without my grandson, I would not have had the opportunity to come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss today.
Walking step by step, purifying step by step, I have gradually seen the truth of many things in the human world, and I feel deeply moved. When I had this body before, I did not cherish it well, and my mind was filled with all sorts of trivial matters. Therefore, throughout this life, there was nothing particularly impressive; I lived the life of an ordinary person, and I held tightly onto everything in the human world.
After I died, I did not achieve spiritual growth; instead, I became a dog. I was a dog for quite a long time, probably over ten years. When I was already an old dog, suddenly one day, my spirit, which was inside the dog's body, was bathed in Buddha light, and I was shocked! Only then did I realise that I was not actually a dog and had not always been in a dog's body. Having stayed in this dog's body for so long, I had truly forgotten my past and thought I was just a dog, with no other purpose.
When I was led to the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I was restored to my former appearance, and I became young and dignified, which shocked me. So this is what I really look like! It turns out I do not have to be a dog forever!
The reason I became a dog after death, I think, was because of my stubbornness and attachment—the personality of holding tightly onto everything. I held onto everything in the human world so tightly that even after death, I could not truly let go, whether it was what I possessed or my family and various relationships. This led me to become a dog later, because dogs are full of emotion, just like humans, possessing deep . If one is very attached to all of this, one will naturally become an animal; this is a natural occurrence.
In the Western Land of Dharma Nature, my spirit was purified and elevated. Today, having arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, my heart is filled with immense gratitude. I do not have many thoughts; I am simply focused on learning everything about the Buddha. Because everything about the Buddha is truly wonderful, I deeply admire the Buddha's Wisdom (Prajna) and compassion.
This makes every one of us, as beings of the Western Land who have arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, vow to follow the Buddha to save the world. This is a vow I had never made before, but because I have received spiritual purification and growth, I now know the value of helping others and know that a heart like that of the Buddha or Bodhisattvas is truly noble.
Here, I would like to counsel my family and friends in the human world, especially my good grandson who helped me with the Chao Du:
Everything in the human world is actually an illusion; decades pass by very quickly. It is a very good thing that you have come to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Seize the opportunity to learn the Dharma, allow yourself to grow, and do not fall into the six realms of rebirth. It is very difficult to escape from the six realms of rebirth throughout your many lives, and this is very painful. If you can learn the Dharma earlier, you will be able to obtain the opportunity for liberation sooner.
Do not continue to create or be overly attached, as this will cover your spirit with layer upon layer of filth, and it will no longer be clear.
I hope you can use my story as a mirror and not be greedy for anything in the human world. You should let go of those fleeting things as soon as possible. With a pure heart, return to the Buddha-land as soon as possible; this will be very helpful to you.
I am grateful for the compassion of Namo Amituofo, and I am grateful for the compassion of Practitioner Su.
