During the , as we invite the spirits and offer the noon meal, provides us with profound guidance on the delicate balance between our desires and the natural flow of the universe. When you seek something, your intention must be grounded in Faith, Vows, and Practice. This is not merely a wish; it is a commitment to the path. Furthermore, your seeking must align with the Truth and the True Teachings. If your request is unreasonable or contrary to the , it will not manifest. If your request is selfish, it is not in accordance with the True Teachings. True seeking is always for the benefit of all beings, not for personal gain. When your seeking is aligned with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, your wishes will naturally come to fruition.
Consider the nature of your destiny. If something is already written in your life, it will come to you even if you do not actively seek it. Conversely, if it is not in your destiny, it simply is not there. When you have abundance, you must cherish it. When you have nothing, you must learn to follow the conditions of the moment. If you seek and receive, it may be because it was already in your destiny, or because your seeking was aligned with the Truth and you have put in the necessary effort. If you seek and do not receive, it may be because it was never in your destiny, or because your seeking was not aligned with the Truth, or perhaps you have not yet put in the required practice.
What if you do not seek, yet you have? That is simply the natural unfolding of your destiny. What if you do not seek, and you have nothing? That, too, is your destiny. In such moments, the state of not seeking becomes a blessing. It allows you to remain cool, calm, and completely at ease. This is the true freedom of the practitioner. By letting go of the constant need to grasp at outcomes, you find a state of clarity that is undisturbed by the fluctuations of the world. This is the path to leaving suffering behind and finding true happiness, as you align your heart with the wisdom of Namo Amituofo.
