Whether we are engaged in worldly or transcendental studies, the fundamental purpose of education remains the same. It is not merely to accumulate information, but to transform our lives through the application of wisdom. If we merely acquire knowledge without the intention to put it into practice, our learning will inevitably remain trapped in the realm of abstract theories and academic research.
When we stop at the level of theory, we find ourselves collecting only superficial information. These are mere decorations of words that lack any substantial inner meaning or the genuine skills required for true transformation. Without the integration of action, our knowledge remains hollow, unable to provide the strength needed to navigate the challenges of life. We must ask ourselves: are we truly practising, or are we simply studying the map without ever taking a step on the path?
However, if we truly understand the teachings and then rise to act upon them, we can go further by using this wisdom to serve all beings. When our understanding is integrated with action, it releases its greatest potential. This synergy allows us to help ourselves and others attain genuine, lasting benefits. It is through this active engagement that we move from confusion to , from wrong paths to the Right Way, and from impurity to purity.
Among all the benefits one could possibly receive, none can compare to the profound benefits of the Dharma, which we bring to ourselves and to all sentient beings. The specific benefit of the path is that it guides all beings to leave the cycle of reincarnation behind, helping us transcend the karmic suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death. By doing so, we can enter the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and attain the state of liberation, where we experience the eternal of stillness.
To attain such a great benefit, we must rely on proper education. We need to teach all beings the correct, unbiased Truth and the methods of practice, so that everyone may cultivate the genuine skills of the path. Only through consistent, dedicated practice can we develop the inner strength to remain steady in our faith and vows. Let us not let our time pass in vain; let us rise and act, ensuring that our practice leads us directly to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
