To be respected is a natural requirement of the spirit. No one wishes to be forced to beg for kindness or to seek charity from others. We all possess an inherent dignity that yearns to be acknowledged. Namo Amituofo understands the infinite suffering of all beings and holds every one of you in deep respect. It is out of this profound that the of Ultimate Bliss was established.
For those who possess true Faith, Vows, and Practice, the path is clear. If you know the truth, believe in it, make the sincere vow to be reborn in the West, and truly chant Buddha's name with a sincere heart, you are a true practitioner. Namo Amituofo will welcome you with open arms into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
If you are a selfless practitioner, your success in your practice is a testament to the respect you hold for your own efforts. You are not merely achieving something for yourself; you are achieving it so that you may eventually save all beings. When you respect others, you are simultaneously respecting yourself. Through the act of showing respect to those around you, you elevate your own spirit.
All disciples of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre should seek to elevate themselves through the practice of respect and reverence for others. When you hold gratitude in your heart, you are respecting the other person, and you are also cultivating your own virtue. This is the foundation of a noble character.
The beings in the unseen realms are governed by the habits and personalities they held during their lives. Each of them resides in their respective realms, experiencing the consequences of their own positive and negative . Therefore, while you still possess this human body, you must make the best use of it. In your interactions with people, other beings, and your environment, you should:
An advanced spirit has no sense of a separate, selfish self. The dignity of Namo Amituofo and the spirit of an awakened being are pure and filled with Goodness. They possess divine sight and hearing, allowing them to clearly see the suffering of all beings, the ailments of , and the ultimate destination of the spirit. They have a clear and thorough understanding of the laws of the world and all phenomena.
You should all accept these teachings and move forward with diligent practice. You must make the vow to be reborn in the West and, simultaneously, cultivate the vow to help all other beings reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss as well. This is what it means to be in sync with the Ultimate Vow of Namo Amituofo. It is the highest form of respect you can show for your own life and your own journey. Namo Amituofo.
