Rebirth in the Western Pure Land: The Testimony of Bodhisattva Zhang Zhengdao

This interview records the testimony of the late Lay Practitioner Zhang Zhengdao, the father of Lay Practitioner Zhang Lixin. Having sought deliverance through the compassionate guidance of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, he shares his profound experience of rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account was recorded on September 10, 2021.

Lay Practitioner Zhang Zhengdao speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am so deeply moved! I am filled with such immense gratitude! Today, I have seen the Buddha, I have seen the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and I have witnessed the holy Buddha personally guiding His child. I am truly touched, and I am profoundly thankful for this opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

My children and grandchildren, you must all understand that the path of following the Buddha’s teachings is a wonderful one. Yanxiang’s decision was excellent and entirely correct. Since I was brought here, the life I have led has been incredibly pure, and I have finally been liberated from the suffering that once bound me. It was only after arriving at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia and listening to the Dharma talks by Practitioner Su that I truly came to understand what life is all about.

The Truth of Life and the Path of Wisdom

Lixin, our lives have always been filled with hardship. Now that I have arrived here, I have finally begun to grasp the profound truths of existence. You must listen to the Dharma talks given by Practitioner Su; they have the power to open our wisdom and allow us to perceive the deeper reality of life.

Today is the great day of my rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and I am filled with joy. I want to thank my daughter and my grandson for every single Chao Du Dharma assembly they prepared on my behalf. I saw my karmic creditors—they were once filled with such hatred toward me. However, because of the deliverance ceremonies performed for them, I watched as their hearts gradually calmed. Through the Chao Du Dharma assembly, they were guided by Practitioner Su to the Western Land, leaving behind their original suffering and attaining true liberation! Seeing them all leave suffering behind, I am deeply moved in my heart. We have finally resolved these Causal Conditions. Chao Du is truly real, and it is absolutely a necessary undertaking.

A Call to Practice and Faith

I thank my daughter and grandson for everything they have prepared for me. Here, I have witnessed so many truths of life. This place is wonderful. You must persist on this path of practice. Whenever you have the chance, you must come here to transform yourselves and also to perform Chao Du for your own karmic creditors.

Within our family, I hope that more people will come here to practise. I hope that everyone who reads these words of mine will develop true faith. I have changed; I am no longer the person I once was. Being able to return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is truly a state of immense happiness and Dharma joy. You must have true faith in this place, practise together on the Buddha’s path, and support the Buddha’s teachings.
