Rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss — Li Yusheng (Li Jun's Father)

Lay Practitioner Li Yusheng:

I have finally attained liberation! I am here to share some good news with everyone.

I, Li Yusheng, have truly arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—a place I never imagined I would reach, yet now it is so real. With the compassionate guidance of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, we all knelt before the Buddha, offering prostrations and expressing the gratitude within our hearts.

Counting the time since I left the human world, it has been over twenty years. I never expected that all these years after death, I would be suffering continuously, without end. I have truly tasted the suffering of the hells; it was so bitter, so very bitter! I must have been in two different hells, as I remember that the sensations and punishments I endured in these two places were quite different. One of them was called the Eye-Gouging Hell. In the past, although I did not speak much, I would always see the faults in others, or when analysing situations, I would always dwell on the negative aspects. This is the reason I fell into hell.

I did not speak much in the past, but I only now realise that the habit of remaining silent and keeping many feelings bottled up inside is also a personality trait, and it may have been one of the reasons I fell into hell. Now, I truly understand. I wanted to repent and turn towards goodness here, but I no longer possessed a human body and had no opportunity to make amends for all of this in the way a human could.

However, it does not matter; I am so grateful to have such a magnificent opportunity to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I am grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and I am also grateful to my good child for registering me for Chao Du. Because he came to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, he has been saved. Practitioner Su always says this, and I feel that this statement is absolutely correct. Once my child came to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, his spirit could grow, and he would no longer need to toil and labour for this physical body, only to end up with nothing left. I sincerely hope he can truly learn the Buddha’s teachings!

Now that I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, everything before my eyes has become very bright and peaceful. This place does not give me many feelings or thoughts, unlike when I was alive, where even though I did not speak, there were always words churning inside my heart. Now, my heart is truly empty.

I have spent several weeks in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and it has been truly wonderful.

From not knowing the Buddha to having deep faith in the Buddha’s teachings, and sincerely offering prostrations before Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, I have come to realise that the skills of the Buddha are so profound that they can help so many beings; this was something I could never have imagined before.

Looking at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia now, seeing the immeasurable and boundless beings that flock to this place during Dharma assemblies, I know how magnificent this place is. So many beings wish to come here because this place can truly save them, allowing their spirits to grow so they no longer need to continue suffering.

It is not easy to come to the human world, and it is even more difficult to be able to learn the Buddha’s teachings. My child must cherish this opportunity and follow the Buddha’s teachings well.

And Practitioner Su, as an awakened being who has realised his true nature and attained Buddhahood in the human world, possesses such high skills; he is the same as Namo Amituofo, both working to save beings.

As for me, an ordinary person, after having endured the torturous punishments of hell, I am still able to arrive in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I have no more doubts or complex feelings; I think I will just follow the Buddha straight ahead. One day, I will naturally reach a higher level and be able to contribute more.
