In the Midst of the Suffering of the Saha World, Only Fragrant Light is a Ray of Hope
When we examine the human body, we often see only the physical form and its internal organs. However, the Buddha’s teachings allow us to look deeper, revealing that beyond the tangible flesh, there exist countless invisible spaces within us. These spaces are not empty; they are filled with the echoes of our infinite past lives. Every action and every emotion we experience today is often influenced by these hidden factors from our history.
Our emotions do not arise in isolation. When an emotion is triggered, it does not merely affect the individual; it acts as a beacon, attracting and activating many sentient beings who are in sync with that specific state of mind. We must understand that our thoughts are the cause, and our actions are the result. This chain of cause and effect is unbroken and continuous, binding us to the patterns of our past.
The human mind is cluttered, and the spaces within our are layered and overlapping. Consider the span of a sixty-year life. If you reflect on the sheer volume of thoughts that pass through your mind in a single morning, you can begin to imagine the vast, crowded spaces that exist within your head. These spaces are not merely abstract concepts; they are tangible repositories of our history.
The things we are most attached to are the very things that create the most frequent spaces in our minds. These are the spaces most likely to lead our three hun souls and seven po souls away from our physical form. Often, these spaces are occupied by our from past lives, who wait for the right conditions to manifest their influence.
From childhood, we develop habits—inertial ways of thinking and acting that become deeply ingrained. These habits reveal themselves in every movement, often manifesting as a projection of our underlying personality. In every habitual action, one can discern the potential character of the human body. For instance, the head of Lay Practitioner Li’s son was once filled with these crowded spaces, and his internal organs were packed with karmic creditors.
Practitioner Su has been working tirelessly, day after day, to clear these obstructions. Through his efforts, countless sentient beings have been guided to Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Lay Practitioner Li is now increasingly able to take charge of his son’s body, yet there remain subtle areas where he cannot fully master his own form. This is because memories are embedded deep within the pores of the skin, and these profound memories often override the messages that Lay Practitioner Li attempts to send. This requires a process of purification, layer by layer, to cleanse the body that has been used for over sixty years.
To transform a body that has been used for decades, we must rely on the power of the Buddha-name and the pure magnetic field of Goodness. I, Hanshan, will continue to assist Lay Practitioner Li in this endeavour. Every small step forward is a contribution to changing the state of the universe itself. The infusion of the Buddha’s power has remained constant from the very beginning.
When the moment of true arrives, the Buddha’s teachings will shine brilliantly here and spread far and wide through the internet. This skillful means of connecting with the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is a powerful tool that can help a vast number of sentient beings with karmic affinity to liberate themselves from the cycle of rebirth in this world.
