Teachings by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju:
People live in the Five Turbidities and Evil World,
experiencing the suffering of being reincarnated and the suffering of being unable to take charge of birth, aging, sickness, and death,
and are often affected by the changes in the surrounding environment, people, things, and scenes, and even by the interference of demon crowds, making it difficult for -Mind-Spirit to be at peace.
Thus, they hope for a method to help the Body-Mind-Spirit become harmonised and peaceful, to leave suffering and gain happiness, and to attain a pure and self-directed life.
Practice is a path that people choose.
And for practice in this world,
perhaps because of the various obstacles arising from the , people feel it is difficult to have things go as they wish.
Even so, practitioners adjust their hearts and practise diligently, seeking to leave reincarnation and wishing to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, so as to leave suffering and gain happiness.
This remains the desire and expectation in people's hearts,
and even to achieve in this lifetime through practice is the moment of leaving suffering and gaining happiness;
this is the achievement of practice while the human body is still present.
To have this achievement, one must put in the effort; there is no such thing as gaining without working.
Only by being fiercely diligent,
and being able to achieve skills within this limited life,
achieving the meditative concentration of the Pure Land , chant one Buddha's name to the end,
and even chanting until the wisdom gate manifests. Even if external conditions change frequently,
the heart remains settled and unmoving, not led by external conditions.
Being able to understand the arising and ceasing of Causal Conditions and the illusory world,
while truly living within it, knowing that once time passes it does not return, is to see it as an illusion.
Those who accept and truly have this realisation can remain clear-headed,
knowing that this body is a false body, used for True Cultivation,
seeking the path of liberation, and not taking the false play as real.
Do not let the various actions of the Body, Speech, and Mind of this body interfere with or hinder the great matter of being reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
A life of truly leaving suffering and gaining happiness is a life of Awakening.
