What kind of capacity allows one to journey freely through the vastness of the universe? We have often heard stories of beings soaring through the skies, flying high above the clouds, yet we have rarely heard of the ability to traverse the entire universe. This unique capability is a profound and rare aspect of the 's work in delivering sentient beings. It is a vision seen only by those who have realised their true nature while still in their physical bodies, where their spirit and Body have become one.
For an awakened being, the spirit is completely free. When this spirit merges with the Dharma Body to perform the work of salvation, every sight and sound becomes an opportunity to practise the truth of saving beings. They do not act alone; they skilfully utilise their spiritual Dharma Body, employing countless manifestations, the salvation team, and the twelve rays of Buddha-light to carry out their sacred mission.
The Unity of Spirit and Dharma Body
The work performed by these awakened beings is multifaceted and profound. It includes:
Delivering sentient beings from their suffering.Delivering demonic beings who are trapped in their own cycles of pain.Subduing the demonic crowds through the power of and the light of the Buddha.
Because those who have realised their true nature have attained the state of , they are free from selfishness and the limitations of a small mind. When they perform the work of , their heart-capacity is boundless, and their sense of self is vast enough to encompass all existence. Because they have reached the state of no-self, they have no obstacles, no fear of life or death, and no attachment to the physical realm. This is because their spirit is already capable of freely travelling to and from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Boundless Nature of the Awakened Being
With the assistance of and the twelve rays of Buddha-light, these beings can travel without restriction through the universe, the Milky Way, and the realms beyond the heavens. Their Dharma Body is able to manifest the reality of saving beings and subduing demonic forces, which is truly an inconceivable feat. Such a state is difficult to express through mere words; it is something that can only be known and felt by those who have attained .
Although the Buddha’s teachings do not cling to written words, we can use language to express a small portion of this profound truth. When one reaches the state of no-self and no-mind, there is no distinction between large or small, or between oneself and others. Consequently, the mind is no longer limited by any boundaries. When journeying through the universe, the awakened being is both completely at ease and tirelessly busy, continuously and endlessly delivering beings from their suffering.
The Inconceivable Work of Practitioner Su
This is the true nature of the work performed by Practitioner Su. It is a life dedicated entirely to the salvation of others, operating within the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. By following this path, we too can learn to let go of our attachments and begin to realise our own true nature. We must strive to follow the guidance of the Buddha, to purify our own body, mind, and spirit, and to contribute to the great work of saving infinite suffering beings. Let us cherish every moment, for the opportunity to practise the Buddha’s teachings is a precious gift that can lead us back to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
