Practising Goodness
You must grasp the Buddha-name firmly, for it is the anchor of your practice. To make your awareness manifest, you must commit yourself to a life of transformation and purification. This is not a passive process; it requires active and persistent effort in your daily life.
You must engage in the following essential practices:
Only through these consistent actions can you find moments of in every situation. When you truly understand the reality of the universe, you will naturally see where you have fallen short and possess the courage to change.
When you recognise your own shortcomings and the habits that lead you astray, you must be willing to change. In this journey, the Precepts become your most trusted companion. By upholding the Precepts, you are able to stop yourself from committing further errors.
Beyond external rules, you must also work to overcome your own personality and deep-seated habits. This is the true work of a practitioner. When you can successfully overcome these obstacles, correct your mistakes, and act in accordance with the Precepts, you will know that your practice is making genuine progress.
Progress is not a one-time event; it is a continuous, uninterrupted process. At the beginning of your journey, you must be vigilant. You must raise your awareness at every moment, acting with caution and care to ensure you do not repeat past mistakes. You are moving from a state of confusion to one of awakening, returning from the wrong paths to the Right Way.
Through diligent practice, you will gradually remove defilements and attain purity. This is a step-by-step process of purification that brings you closer to your true self. As the days and months pass, this practice will become an internalised part of your being. It will no longer feel like a struggle, but rather, it will become your natural state of existence.
When you are able to uphold the Precepts and act in accordance with them, you will realise that everything is naturally as it should be. You will no longer worry about committing errors, because your heart will be aligned with the truth. Everything becomes a manifestation of the natural state of the universe.
Whether you are eating, dressing, living, or travelling, every move you make and every word you speak can be aligned with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When you live in this manner, your actions are entirely natural, requiring no force or artificial effort. This is the moment when you truly realise your true self and become an awakened being, taking charge of your own destiny.
By reaching this state, you save yourself. You rescue yourself from the six realms of rebirth and break free from the karmic bonds of birth, aging, sickness, death. You have successfully transformed your ; you are no longer swayed by external circumstances, but instead, you have the power to transform them.
When you no longer commit errors, you no longer suffer. You will find yourself constantly dwelling in a state of coolness, ease, and freedom. My dear children, you must be diligent and persistent in your practice. All of this can happen within you, because your original nature is already perfect and pure. It is simply waiting for you to return to it.
