Many of the customs and social norms we observe in this world are rooted in fear. Often, we follow these traditions because we are afraid of the unknown or of offending forces beyond our immediate perception. If this fear leads one to maintain a peaceful heart, a calm mind, and allows one to pass through life without causing harm, it is often accepted by the public as a way to maintain harmony. By showing respect to the spiritual realms, one may indeed find a temporary sense of safety and avoid unnecessary conflict. However, we must ask ourselves: is this truly the path of a practitioner?
While fear may provide a superficial sense of order, it becomes a grave obstacle when it begins to hinder the elevation of your spirit. When you allow fear to take root, your spirit withers and struggles to progress. In severe cases, it can even cause your spirit to fall into lower states of existence. This often manifests as a state of being drowsy, or becoming trapped in complex situations within different dimensions of space. If you find yourself in such a state, you must stop immediately and change your ways. This is a critical matter, for fear is a great enemy to diligent practice and the realisation of your true self.
Why does this fear arise? It is a sign that your heart has not yet attained purity and Goodness. It indicates that there are still people, objects, or events that you have not yet let go of. Consider these common manifestations of fear:
These are all different faces of fear. Once fear takes hold, it transforms into , and from this, karma is generated. This is the natural connection between your own fluctuating mind and the beings related to your past actions. It is a form of invisible, energetic transmission across space, and it is something that every practitioner must be extremely cautious about in their daily life—whether walking, standing, sitting, or lying down.
The sensitivity of your practice, your keen awareness, and the natural manifestation of your inherent power are what allow you to resolve difficulties and break through all obstacles. When you encounter these barriers, you must quickly repent, change your ways. You must summon the determination and perseverance to thoroughly let go of the past. Only then will you be able to face all obstacles and the interference of demon crowds without fear. By doing so, you can continue your journey forward and successfully rediscover your true self.
