The Illusion of Seeking Externally

Your true self has always been within your own heart; you need not look elsewhere to find it. The most precious treasure in this world is a virtuous teacher, yet such a guide is often difficult to find. Many of us have been travelling across thousands of mountains and crossing vast rivers, all in the hope of finding an enlightened master and hearing the profound teachings of the Dharma. We have wandered far and wide, searching for the truth, only to realise that the destination was always within us.

Finding the True Path at Hsiang Kuang

Finally, we have found our sanctuary here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. We are truly blessed to have the guidance of Namo Amituofo and the compassionate support of Practitioner Su. Do not seek the Buddha in distant lands or external forms. The Buddha is not found elsewhere; the Buddha resides within your own heart. When you stop looking outward and turn your gaze inward, the path becomes clear.

Living the Buddha's Vows

When your every thought is dedicated to the welfare of all beings, and the sacred Buddha-name of Namo Amituofo flows through your heart without interruption, you are truly on the path. The Buddha-actions to save suffering beings never cease. When your heart remains inseparable from the great vows of Namo Amituofo, your life becomes a manifestation of the Buddha's work in this world. This is what it means to carry out the Buddha's work while living in this world.
