The Fragility of the Mind

We carry with us the weight of habits, evil thoughts, and personality traits accumulated over countless lifetimes. These burdens manifest in our daily lives as the Five Poisons—Greed, Anger, Ignorance, Arrogance, and Doubt—and the Five Desires—wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep. Through our Body, Speech, and Mind, we continuously create various forms of negative karma that keep us trapped in the cycle of rebirth.

However, there is a way to stop this cycle. The only solution is to chant Namo Amituofo. By relying on the Buddha's blessings and maintaining a continuous, uninterrupted flow of the Buddha-name, we can sweep away these obstacles. Everything can be brought to a halt if we simply have faith and dedicate ourselves to chanting Namo Amituofo.

The Antidote to Karmic Debt

This practice requires the practitioner to be grounded and to act with sincerity. You must walk the path step by step, putting the teachings into actual practice. Only then can you receive the true benefits of the Buddha’s teachings. The Buddha-name itself is the embodiment of the vow of the King of Buddhas, Namo Amituofo. In the causal stage of his practice, he established the Forty-eight Great Vows, which include the promise that all beings in the ten directions who hear his name and chant it will be embraced by his compassion.

When you hear the name and chant it, you naturally enter the magnificent and compassionate power of these vows. You receive the support of Namo Amituofo’s great compassionate power, his great courageous heart, his great majestic spiritual power, and his great fearless power.

The Path to Buddhahood

• In your movements: while walking, standing, sitting, or lying down.
• In your daily activities: while eating, dressing, residing, or travelling.
• In every moment: at any time and in any place.
• In your constant awareness: 24/7.

Chanting the Buddha-name is the cause, and becoming a Buddha is the result. Each of you must be fiercely diligent in your practice!
