What does it truly mean to be a diligent practitioner? A practitioner who is truly diligent does not allow themselves to be hindered by the internal influence of , the weight of past , or the external distractions of people, events, and environments. Instead, they possess the courage to face these challenges directly. They understand the necessity of repenting for past mistakes and are committed to changing their ways. By confronting these obstacles with a sincere heart, they clear the path for their spiritual growth.
A diligent practitioner understands that changing one's personality traits is a vital component of spiritual progress. This is not a task to be delayed; it must be undertaken immediately and with great effort. When one is determined to change, no obstacle can stand in the way. By letting go of the past and focusing entirely on the present, one can chant Namo Amituofo all the way. Through the power of each and every recitation, one receives the Buddha's . This sacred energy serves to soften the rigidity of the ego, eventually transforming one's personality until it is purified and refined.
For the diligent practitioner, the process of purification leads to a magnificent outcome. They will not grow old, they will not get sick, and their spirit does not die. They are able to enter the of Ultimate Bliss with ease. This state of being is the most direct and powerful testimony to the success of one's practice. It is the natural result of a life dedicated to the Truth, where the spirit is finally liberated from the cycle of suffering.
