In the Midst of the Suffering of the Saha World, Only Fragrant Light is a Ray of Hope
True practice begins when you experience a sudden moment of . It is a moment where you are shaken to your core, forced to confront the stark reality of your existence, and find the turning point amidst a crisis.
When you begin to peel back the protective layers you have built around your heart, you will make a startling discovery. From a very young age, whenever you craved praise or encouragement, you learned to mask your shortcomings and flaws. You thought this was a way to protect yourself, but in truth, it was the beginning of a long journey away from your true self.
Consider the nature of these hidden flaws and how they affect your spiritual progress. If you bring your flaws into the light, you can correct them immediately and fill the gaps in your character. If you bury them deep within your heart, they will only accumulate and grow heavier over time. This forces you to constantly cover up your mistakes, creating a thick layer of dust that obscures your inner light.
When your heart is covered in this thick, dark dust, you lose the ability to let the light of your true nature shine through. You become trapped in a cycle of being driven by karmic forces to seek satisfaction, creating new, negative through your actions, and falling deeper into the crisis of the cycle of rebirth.
At Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, truly abides. With the compassionate guidance of the Teacher and Practitioner Su, you are in the perfect environment to change. If you are willing to listen, cooperate, and truly change your ways, your crisis will transform into a turning point. The layers of dust will be removed, and your true self—your original Buddha-nature—will finally be revealed.
Practice is not always easy. If you encounter difficulties and fall, do not let that become a permanent crisis. Do not be discouraged by the obstacles you face. If you can diligently break through these barriers and continue to move forward, the crisis will become a turning point. You will become one who transforms the environment, rather than one who is controlled by it.
