Cease Your Wandering: A Call to Return Home

This teaching was recorded by Venerable HaiZe on September 3, 2022, during the second session of the . It serves as a compassionate reminder to all who seek the path of liberation.

The Heart in Search of Stillness

My dear children, look deeply into your hearts. Whether you are currently present at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre or are elsewhere in the world, you must ask yourself: has your heart truly settled? Have you stopped wandering through the endless, turbulent cycles of samsara? A human life is incredibly precious and rare. It is a fleeting opportunity that should not be squandered. Do not let your time pass in vain, for the chance to practise the Buddha’s teachings is a gift that must be cherished with every breath.

A Message to the

To the karmic creditors and all sentient beings who have gathered here: please, cease your wandering. Do not drift aimlessly through the darkness any longer. You are encouraged to:

Listen to the sutras and hear the to understand the laws of and cause and effect.
Accept the invitation to resolve the grievances and resentments accumulated over countless lifetimes.
Receive so that you may be liberated from suffering and find your way to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

A Call to the Fourfold Assembly

To the fourfold assembly of disciples at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, you must also stop wandering. Do not let your minds drift away from the path of . Instead, you should:

Immerse yourselves in the service of all beings, offering your to those in need.
Engage in the diligent practice of the Buddha’s teachings, ensuring your focus remains unwavering.
Allow the brilliance of your true nature to shine forth, illuminating the world and saving countless beings.
Carry on the legacy of the Pure Land within the human realm and the entire Dharma Realm.

If you can achieve this, you will not have lived this life in vain. You will finally fulfil your ancient vows to reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and attain the ultimate peace you have sought for so long.
