The Celestial Offerings of Auspicious Signs

When celestial beings descend to offer flowers, it is a truly auspicious sign. Many people in this world mistakenly believe that the heavenly realms are the ultimate destination, thinking that life there is free from worry and filled with heavenly bliss. However, they do not realise that the pure and virtuous environment of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss far surpasses the beauty and joy of any heavenly realm.

At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, the sky often serves as a canvas for the divine. Celestial beings from the twenty-eight levels of heaven and sages from the Four Sacred Realms frequently gather here. They manifest auspicious signs within the thin clouds, such as:

• Auspicious dragons soaring through the air
• Graceful phoenixes dancing in the light
• Visions of lotus flowers from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss blooming and scattering their petals across the horizon

Beyond the Heavenly Realms

These celestial beings offer these signs to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su, seeking Chao Du so that they may be guided to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is a profound testament to the power of this sanctuary that such beings seek to transcend their own realms to reach the ultimate destination of the Pure Land.

During the lectures and the sharing of the Dharma, Namo Amituofo radiates a special fragrance to bless and support Practitioner Su, expressing the Buddha's deep praise for this work. When the celestial beings witness this, they are filled with Dharma joy and release a heavenly scent that permeates the atmosphere, marking the sanctity of the occasion.

The Radiance of Namo Amituofo

During the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, Namo Amituofo radiates a brilliant golden light. This light illuminates everything, bestowing blessings upon the fourfold assembly, the Buddha hall, the earth, and the vast expanse of the sky. This is the boundless compassion of the Buddha, whose light shines without end, reaching into every corner of the Dharma Realm to save those who are suffering.

The Fragrance of Infinite Compassion

Within the body of Practitioner Su, the Buddha-light shines without limit. This light naturally disperses a gentle and elegant fragrance of virtue, and the scent of lotus flowers is present everywhere. These signs are a reflection of the qualities that Practitioner Su embodies:

• Infinite compassion for all living beings
• An immeasurable mind-capacity that embraces all
• A profound and boundless spirit of tolerance
• Wisdom that is difficult to fathom
