This is a record of an interview with Chen Su, the mother of Yin Zhenhui, who was the former husband of Lay Practitioner Huang Xiufang. Chen Su sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia and now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her life and her journey to deliverance. Chen Su speaks:
". Xiufang, time passes so quickly. Mother is so grateful to you for helping me receive Chao Du. All the suffering I encountered in the past has vanished like smoke through this deliverance. My entire life has finally found peace here at the temple. Today, thanks to the kindness of Practitioner Su, I have been brought to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is truly a magnificent place—far, far better than the human world!"
Finding Peace After a Lifetime of Suffering
"As I look at everything from here, the pain of the past has been completely covered by the beauty of this place. Mother no longer sighs; I am no longer afraid! This is the greatest gift that you, Xiufang, and the heavens could have ever given me. I believe it must have been a hidden, divine force that saw that, despite all the hardships I endured throughout my life, I still retained a kind nature at my core. That is why this arrangement was made. At this moment, I am filled with gratitude for everything."
From the Shadows to the Light
"After I passed away, I was so afraid and had no one to rely on. My spirit never left our home; I would often crouch in the corner of the house. Being in that corner made me feel safe, even though I know it was a fragile and pathetic way to exist. But I had nothing left to worry about, and I did not need to care about how others viewed my behaviour. Just as I was huddled in that corner, thinking of the past, a beam of light came and took me away. It was such a gentle, bright light that carried me to a place of brilliance. When I finally calmed down and understood what was happening, I realised this place was called the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre."

"At the temple, I often listened to Practitioner Su give talks, and during the Dharma assemblies, I would often follow along and chant Namo Amituofo. I felt so safe here; it brought such profound stillness to my heart! I learned that the temple is home to Namo Amituofo of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and I understood that this is a wonderful place that everyone longs to reach. Now that I have arrived, I finally understand why it is called the 'Land of Ultimate Bliss.' I am certain that there is no other place in existence that could be better than this."
A Mother's Final Advice
"Xiufang, being a human is truly bitter. Being a wife and a mother requires one to shoulder so much suffering, but I promise you, all of this will pass. Mother believes that you will be able to live your life well because you have encountered Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. They are the eternal refuge for our hearts; they will never abandon us, and they will never turn us away. As long as we chant Namo Amituofo—chant with a sincere heart—Namo Amituofo and the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss will always be waiting for us. You must have confidence in yourself. No matter how your family treats you, everything will pass."
