A Mother's Final Guidance from the Western Pure Land

Lay Practitioner He Lifang, the mother of Lay Practitioner Wang Liuping, sought deliverance through the compassionate guidance of Practitioner Su. Having successfully attained rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, she shared her profound realisation and final guidance for her daughter and all sentient beings. This interview was recorded by Chief Writer Shi Fajing on July 7, 2023.

Lay Practitioner He Lifang speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Thank you, Namo Amituofo. Thank you, Practitioner Su. Thank you to everyone. I, your disciple He Lifang, have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Now, I am truly and thoroughly awake. In this moment of letting go, I feel so comfortable, so joyful—it is nothing like the afflictions and suffering I endured in the past.

I, your disciple, know that my sins were heavy. Looking back at my cycle of rebirth throughout my many lives until now, I never truly understood how to repent. If it were not for Practitioner Su reaching out to lift me up, I do not know where I would have ended up in my next life. Even if I had been fortunate enough to get a human body again, I believe I would have remained exactly as I was before; my personality and temper would not have changed in the slightest."

The Illusion of the Physical Form

"It was only after losing my physical body that I finally understood its true value. Yet, when we possess a body, it is incredibly difficult to remain clear-headed. The desires of the body and the sensations of the body are always deceiving us, tricking us into falling for their traps.

I see that my child is the same, and indeed, everyone is the same. For the sake of this body, we have all paid a tremendous price. We do not realise that in such a short span of time, this body will vanish forever. If you do not want to live with regret, I urge everyone: you must learn to let go of this body."

A Karmic Bond Across Lifetimes

"Liuping is my child in this lifetime. We have had karmic affinity in the past as well; she was once a maid by my side. We had a very close bond, and I treated her as if she were my own daughter. Whatever I had, I would always ensure she received her share—I would never leave her out. Who would have expected that in this life, she would come into this world to be my daughter? The Law of Cause, Condition, and Fruit is truly inconceivable."

Advice to My Daughter

"My daughter's heart is filled with suffering, but I want to tell her that it does not have to be this way. Do not be too attached to your own feelings; those are all illusions. You must change your personality. You must never be overbearing or aggressive. A personality that is too strong will only end up hurting yourself. Furthermore, do not let yourself overthink. The more you think, the more you suffer. It is far better to stop thinking about everything and simply chant one 'Namo Amituofo'.

Mother is doing very well now, and I hope that all of you are doing well too. Since you still possess this precious human body, you must cherish and seize this opportunity. Chant Namo Amituofo diligently. In this lifetime, you must strive for rebirth in the Pure Land. Only by coming to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss can you attain eternal liberation.
