Beings of Space
Naturally So
The value of a sincere heart lies in its rarity; it is truly difficult to find and even harder to witness in this world. A truly sincere heart operates without seeking personal gain, without demanding a price, and without setting conditions for its kindness. It is purely focused on benefiting others and wishing for their well-being. How many can truly possess such a heart? It is as rare as one in a thousand, one in ten thousand, or even one in ten million. Even in the midst of the laws of and cause and effect, such a heart remains a beacon of light.
To treat others with a sincere heart is the natural state for any practitioner. It is not an external acquisition but an inherent quality of our true self. When we look deep within our own character, we find that this sincerity is a fundamental part of our original nature. It is the essence that remains when the dust of the world is cleared away. This is the state of being that we must strive to return to through our daily practice.
A practitioner must always be mindful of their speech and conduct. By gathering one's body, mind, and spirit, one can reveal this sincerity through careful words and prudent actions. It is clearly visible in the hearts and actions of those who have attained success in their practice. A sincere heart is truly priceless. While the treasures of this world are limited and fleeting, a sincere heart is infinite and boundless.
When we treat others with a sincere heart, our connection does not change or deteriorate due to the passage of time or the shifts in space. This pure, singular heart is the essential condition that every person must possess when they begin to learn Buddhism and seek the Dharma. Without this foundation, our practice remains shallow. Let us strive to embody this sincerity in every moment of our lives as we walk the path toward the of Ultimate Bliss.
