Everyone feels a natural affinity for those who embody the spirit of joyful letting go. When you encounter such a person, you are immediately drawn to their presence. Why is this? Because when you spend time with them, you feel a profound sense of intimacy, satisfaction, and . Their mind-capacity is vast, and their presence is deeply comforting. Most importantly, they offer their kindness without any expectation of reward or return. They do not keep a ledger of their deeds; they simply give because it is their nature to do so.
Now, you must ask yourself: are you able to be that person who practises joyful letting go? If you can, then you should rejoice! This indicates that you are a person of goodness and purification. You are in harmony with the spirit of and selflessness, and you are in alignment with your true self. Because of this, you are constantly bathed in the Buddha’s light. Please continue to maintain this excellent virtue, for it is the path that will eventually lead you to becoming an awakened being.
If you feel you are not yet there, do not be discouraged. Instead, rejoice that you have the clarity to see your own shortcomings. This is the first step toward change. If you can resolve to change your ways, remain content, and practise gratitude in every moment, you will find the strength to transform. You should strive to:
By doing so, the joy of giving and sharing will naturally arise from within your heart. You will find that you are the greatest beneficiary of your own kindness. Everything you seek is already present within the state of pure, untainted awareness and your own true self. .
