The World is an Illusion, Seeking Truth in Vain; Only Practitioner Su Has Found It
Beings of Space
Naturally So
Even if the truth is obscured for a time, it will inevitably come to light, much like the receding tide revealing the stones beneath. If the truth remains hidden, it creates a state of persistent anxiety and unease within the heart. When the truth is finally discovered, it may be too late to rectify the situation. If one’s life ends before the truth is brought to light, one will be reincarnated and suffer, where true peace is impossible to find.
We often hide the truth as a form of self-protection, yet we fail to realise that this very act invites our negative habits to manifest. If a practitioner can courageously face and address these truths, it becomes a precious opportunity for repentance, purification, and the elevation of one's spirit. Conversely, if one chooses to cover up these negative habits, one not only loses the chance to change your ways but also forfeits the opportunity for spiritual growth and purification.
When one violates the , one must first ask the heart: How can I find peace while living in transgression? Such actions do not merely invite discipline within the Buddha’s gate; they also lead to judgment and suffering under the laws of the underworld. If one continues to conceal the truth, and this concealment influences others, it only serves to compound the laws of and cause and effect, leading to even greater suffering.
Why do we choose to conceal the truth? It is because the heart is unsettled and fearful. This behaviour stems from several deep-seated anxieties:
Ultimately, this is a form of deception and avoidance. In the context of our practice, this concealment acts as a profound pollution. It casts a shadow over the heart, making it impossible to realise one's true nature. This is the polar opposite of those who have realised their true nature, whose body, mind, and spirit are transparent and unstained. Without this transparency, it is difficult to attain the cool, refreshing state of liberation.
When we create a negative cause, we will inevitably reap an evil consequence. If and mind are stained and turbid due to the manifestation of karma, how can we claim to have the good roots, the , and the Causal Conditions required to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss? We must strive to be honest, to purify our hearts, and to align ourselves with the Truth. Only then can we walk the path that leads to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
