Your heart, your actions, and your vows must be aligned in the present moment. You must ensure that you are truly living within each passing moment. Do not allow yourself to be stirred by any stray thoughts; instead, you must maintain the purification of your mind. This is essential because every thought you generate has the power to attract beings from your past to manifest before you.
Once these beings appear, they often bring suffering with them. Many come to seek balance for past grievances, whether to collect on old debts or to seek revenge for past harms. Their presence will inevitably cause your Body-Mind-Spirit to experience great distress. You may wonder, are there not beings who come to repay a kindness or settle a debt in your favour? Yes, such beings do exist. However, these encounters are entirely dependent on the conditions of your ; they are rare opportunities that you cannot force to happen.
When you do encounter such a situation, you must resolve the laws of karma and cause and effect completely. Do not create new karma. In all things, your primary focus must be on maintaining a state of purity and purification.
In every moment, you must diligently guard even the most subtle thoughts. Do not allow even a fraction of an evil thought to arise. The more you are able to care for these minute, hidden thoughts, the more you will be able to prevent the birth of negative karma. By preventing the negative karma manifesting, you avoid the bitter evil consequences that follow. This is the true measure of your success in practice and your ability to transform karma.
True practice is not something that can be done in a state of confusion or laziness. It is not about simply going through the motions, being drowsy, or living in a scattered, chaotic state. Instead, you must be careful, cautious, and precise in how you spend every moment. You must be diligent and sincere in your practice, ensuring that every moment is spent in a state of purity, purification, and Goodness.
Only through this kind of disciplined practice is it possible to transform your karma, change your destiny, and eventually reach the state of an awakened being. If you do not practice in this way, you will find it impossible to escape the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, death. You will remain trapped within the laws of karma and cause and effect, continuing as a participant in the cycle of being reincarnated.
Evil can arise in any moment, even within the span of a single thought. Conversely, Goodness can also arise in any moment, within that same single thought. Pure Goodness and absolute purity are also generated in the present moment. This is the profound importance of the teaching to give rise to all and achieve the fruit of . You must make every moment a moment of Goodness.
When one reaches the state of emptiness, non-existence, and Awakening, the concept of the present moment itself ceases to exist. There is no past, no present, and no future. This is because the three periods of time have merged into one, and all things are clear and luminous. Namo Amituofo.
