The true self is eternally constant and unmoving. It possesses a meditative concentration that is unshakable. Because the heart is unmoving, this stillness naturally leads to a state where there are no wandering thoughts. When you reside in this state of true stillness, you are no longer swayed by the illusions of the world.
To reach this state of Nothingness is to be free from the burdens that typically cloud our existence. When you attain this level of purity, you will find that there are no longer any obstacles arising from the ego:
By letting go of these attachments, you are no longer bound by the cycle of suffering. You are truly free.
When you are free from these internal disturbances, your perception becomes perfectly clear and transparent. In this state of absolute clarity, you possess a wisdom that is all-encompassing. It is said that one who reaches this state is capable of knowing everything and achieving everything. This is not a worldly power, but the natural manifestation of your true self, which has been obscured for so long by the dust of our desires and ignorance.
For those who wish to find their way back to the Truth and their true self, you must seek a place of deep realisation. You must first realise the suffering inherent in impermanence, and then you will begin to see the of your true nature. You must understand that all the various forms of impermanence are merely manifestations of suffering, and you should be determined to cut through them. Conversely, you must realise that the true self is free from suffering; it is the constant, eternal joy that represents your original face. Therefore, you must engage in diligent practice to seek this awakening. When you are awakened in every moment and clear in every situation, you will reach a state of total clarity and openness. When the wisdom of your true nature is fully revealed, this is what we call becoming an awakened being. This message was recorded by the chief writer, the Buddha's disciple Venerable HaiZe.
