The term '' contains within it the profound wisdom of those who came before us. To truly understand this concept, one must recognise that it is composed of two distinct yet inseparable parts: the capacity for awareness and the act of waking up. Without the initial spark of awareness, one cannot possibly wake up from the deep slumber of confusion. In this context, awareness refers to your inherent and your ability to perceive the truth of existence. When you finally grasp the reality of the universe, you will no longer be deceived by erroneous views or superficial . You will cease to be trapped by stubborn delusions and will no longer willingly submerge yourself in the dyeing vat of this world, where impurities constantly cloud the mind.
Before one reaches this state of true awakening, one remains trapped in the cycle of being reincarnated, suffering through endless hardships. This state of confusion is the root cause of all our pain. If you do not understand the true facts of life, you are essentially wandering in the dark. It is this lack of clarity that binds us to the cycle of rebirth, causing us to suffer in ways that are difficult to describe. We must recognise that our current state of being is a direct result of our failure to see the truth clearly.
Those who have truly awakened understand the immense value of every passing second. They know that time is precious and that the Causal Conditions required to encounter the are incredibly rare. Because they understand this, they do not let a single moment pass in vain. They recognise that the ability to cultivate awareness—to develop a clear, discerning consciousness—is the most valuable treasure one can possess. By cherishing these moments, you prepare yourself to transcend the limitations of the physical world and move closer to the of Ultimate Bliss.
Once you have entered the state of awakening, you must be vigilant. Your inherent awareness must not be covered by the illusions of the world, nor should you allow confusion to arise. If confusion takes hold of your mind, even a Buddha or will find it difficult to help you, for you have closed the door to their compassionate guidance.
